AI-enabled imaging company Aidoc is partnering with Singaporean startup Us2.ai to integrate its algorithm for analyzing echocardiograms into Aidoc’s platform.
Us2.ai’s software searches for optimal images takes measurements of the heart’s structure and function and then provides a report to cardiologists and sonographers. The algorithm received FDA 510(k) clearance last year, and the company announced it had received a European CE mark over the summer.
Aidoc and Us2.ai are pitching the partnership as a way to offer several AI tools in one operating system and coordinate care across providers.
“It’s clear hospitals and health systems see significant value in orchestrating AI from a single, trusted partner. Full automation for the analysis of echocardiography brings a long overdue technology upgrade to this modality,” Seth Koeppel, head of business development for Us2.ai, said in a statement. “We believe this partnership with Aidoc will enhance the speed at which hospitals can realize ROI from AI solutions.”

Formerly known as Eko.ai, Us2.ai announced it had raised $15 million in Series A funding in April. The startup said it planned to use the capital to drive growth in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, as well expand sales to pharma companies, labs and imaging providers.
Aidoc recently scooped up a hefty $110 million in Series D funds, bringing its total funding pot to $250 million. The company has a number of FDA-cleared imaging tools, including software for flagging and triaging brain aneurysms and detecting pneumothorax.
It has partnered with other AI-enabled imaging startups to integrate new tools into its platform as well. In May, Aidoc announced a collaboration with Gleaner to integrate the latter’s BoneView tool for X-rays into Aidoc’s platform. It’s also partnered with ScreenPoint Medical, the maker of an AI product for 2D and 3D mammography.
Radiology is a popular space for utilizing AI and machine learning in healthcare. According to a report published by Rock Health last year, 70% of FDA-cleared AI and ML tools were used for radiology.
