Jennifer’s latest film, Causeway debuted Friday, November 4, on AppleTV+.

She signed on to produce and star in the drama as a US soldier who suffers a traumatic brain injury while serving in Afghanistan, and has trouble adjusting to life back home in her native New Orleans. The movie has received an 88% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

A good portion of the film was shot in 2019, before the Hunger Games star walked down the aisle. The remainder of the project was scheduled to be shot in 2020, but shut down due to the pandemic. It was finally completed in the summer of 2021.

In an interview with The New York Times, the actress, who has been working since she was a teenager, said of her character, ‘I obviously cannot relate to risking my life for my country, but I can understand, reading Causeway, why I’m getting so emotional about somebody who doesn’t feel like they belong anywhere unless they’re on a schedule.’

The talented actress has been busily working on No Hard Feelings on nearby Long Island.

The comedy, about a woman who places a Craigslist ad to hire someone to date her son before he goes to college, is set to be released in June 2023.
