Louise Thompson told how she felt ‘ugly, enormous and hormonal’ while pregnant as she reflected on having ‘no idea what was to unfurl’ ahead of the traumatic birth of her son.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 32, nearly died when she gave birth to baby Leo in November 2021 and has since battled PTSD and postnatal anxiety.

The reality star thought she would ‘never spend a single night’ in her London home after being hospitalised for five weeks following the traumatic experience, but said she is beginning to adjust to her ‘new life’ in an Instagram video posted on Monday.

Louise shared a throwback video of her property, which she shares with fiancé Ryan Libbey, 32, as it was being renovated while she was pregnant.

The TV personality showed off her baby bump in a blue maxi dress while she was eight months pregnant, and said she had no idea what she was to face in the coming weeks.

Louise told fans in the caption: ‘Just me being a little bit silly in my incredibly grown up home… talk about having #impostersyndrome.

‘I can’t believe I was eight months pregnant in the first clip and looking so fresh. It’s funny what we uncover when we look back in retrospect.

‘I felt enormous, so ugly and so hormonal, but in light of everything that’s happened since, life really wasn’t treating me too badly. I certainly had no idea what was to unfurl.’

In the video, Louise twirled around her kitchen and the clip flipped to present day as she showcased the renovated room.

The MIC star was in high spirits as she posed in a black mini dress which she teamed with tights and kitten heels.

The beauty picked up a white rose from her table and handed it to her personal trainer beau Ryan, who followed her with the camera.

Louise went on to say it’s taken her time to ‘adjust’ to her new life but is now feeling ready to create ‘amazing memories’ in the space.

She continued: ‘Anyway, we’re one year on and I feel like I’m finding my flow again.

‘At one point I was certain I’d never spend a single night in my new home, which was kind of weird considering I’d spent so much time grafting for it… thankfully that wasn’t the way things were to be.

‘It’s sure taken time to adjust to our new life here but I’m v proud of what we’ve created and this space is gonna be home to many amazing memories in the future.

‘I no longer feel compelled to move which is wonderful news. Looks like we’ll be living next to my brother for the foreseeable.

‘Now I think I feel just about ready to host a lunch, linner, dinner, drinks or birthday party, just in time for LL turning one.’

Louise has endured a difficult year after she nearly died during Leo’s birth and spent five weeks in hospital suffering with ‘serious complications.’

She has since been battling post-traumatic stress disorder and post-natal anxiety, admitting during one week in January that she cried up to 20 times.
