With Halloween now in the rear-view mirror and the holidays fast approaching, Martha Stewart is making a plea to Christmas-obsessed Mariah Carey to not forget the Thanksgiving holiday.

During an appearance on Today, the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia founder, 81, called out Carey, 52, by name to ask her to not skip right from Halloween to Christmas, which has been her track record over the years.

‘Mariah, you know me, I’m a traditionalist with a twist. And you cannot give up Thanksgiving just because you you don’t like turkey,’ Stewart, 81, said while looking into the camera, adding, ‘I love turkey, and many, many other people love turkey. So do not think we are going to give up Thanksgiving just because you say so.’

Making her case for Thanksgiving: 'Mariah, you know me, I'm a traditionalist with a twist. And you cannot give up Thanksgiving just because you you don't like turkey,' Stewart said, adding, 'I love turkey, and many, many other people love turkey. She ended by hinting about getting an invite to her turkey day party, especially if one one particular rap legend is going to be in attendance.

‘P.S I’d love to have you at my Thanksgiving dinner although I’ve yet to be invited to your Thanksgiving extravaganza! And THAT is MAJOR! Esp if Snoop’s coming!’

Stewart’s fun and playful remarks to Carey came just two days after she posted a black-and-white video on Instagram that showing her dressed as a witch.

In the clip set to spooky music, she howls and laughs like a traditional witch, as she pedal on exercise bike as pages of the final days of October flying all around her.

Once it reaches November 1, Carey yells out in her high pitch singing voice: ‘IT’S TIIIIIIIIME!!!!!!!! , which she also documented in the caption on Instagram, along with the hashtag #MariahSZN.’

And once the calendar reaches November in year’s past, she usually proceeds to go on a Christmas frenzy on her social media platforms, typically in promotion of all the various holiday-themed projects she’s involved in that particular year.

Last year, Carey starred in an advertisement that was promoted as ‘a merry Christmas in July’ during those hot summer months of July.

And instead of riding an exercise bike in a witches costume like she just did this week, the New York City native got all decked out in festive red and smashed a row of pumpkins to signify she’s ready to move on past Halloween and go right to the Christmas.

Ready? Let’s go!’ she announced in the caption of the Instagram post dated October 31, 2021.
