Michael Owen gushes over rarely seen daughter Emily as he celebrates her birthday in Dubai

Michael Owen shared a rare snap of his daughter Emily on Instagram on Sunday as he celebrated her birthday.

The former England footballer, 42, gushed over the teen saying she is his ‘pride and joy’ as she turned 15 during their lavish family getaway in Dubai. 

The doting dad posted the sweet snap of himself and Emily in front of the Dubai skyline at night.

Michael cut a smart figure in a black Balmain T-shirt which he teamed with matching jeans and trainers. 

Meanwhile Emily dressed to impress in a glamorous bright pink and black bodycon mini dress.

The beauty teamed the number with a black handbag and elevated her frame in a pair of towering lace up heels. 

Michael gushed: ‘Happy Birthday @emily.0wen10 You’re my pride and joy. X’.

Emily is the football stars third child with his childhood sweetheart Louise Bonsall. 

The couple also share Gemma, 19, James, 16, and Jessica, 12 together and live in their £4 million Cheshire mansion.

Michael also shared a family snap of his full clan and friends while enjoying a boat trip in the exotic location.

Recently Gemma brought her dad Michael as her date to the National Television Awards leaving her boyfriend Luca Bish at home.

The Love Island star looked incredible in glitzy gold dress as her famous father gushed over how proud he was of her.

Speaking to MailOnline, the former footballer, 42, said: ‘Really proud of all four [children]. My kids, obviously Gemma being the oldest, you know, I had no doubts when she went on to the show and no doubts for her future, really.

‘She’s got a sensible, mature head. So yeah, we’re very proud of them.’

On giving her advice on being in the public eye, he added: ‘She’s observed. She sees what it’s like being in the public eye.

‘She’s seeing that the ups and downs and everything else like that and she’s, she’s quite smart herself mentally. So she’ll she would have picked up a lot from just you know from the big boss of the house.’
