Strictly’s Molly Rainford has revealed that her professional partner has Carlos Gu banned her from dating during the show.

The star, 21, said Carlos, 28, told her she ‘can’t be skipping any rehearsals to go on dates’ and that she doesn’t ‘have time for romance’.

It comes after reports that she had grown close to both Nikita Kuzmin and Tyler West during her time on the show so far.

Oh no! Strictly’s Molly Rainford has revealed that her professional partner has Carlos Gu banned her from dating during the show

She told The Mirror: ‘Carlos told me, ”You can’t be skipping any rehearsals to go on dates”.

‘So I don’t have any time for romance. Tyler is a lovely boy. We all get on really well. But we are just training and working hard.’

It comes after earlier this week Molly brushed off rumours of a behind-the-scenes romance after being linked to two different stars on the BBC show.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline with her dance partner Carlos, the CBBC star said that on the grounds of backstage passion this year’s lineup has been ‘very boring,’ following reports that she had grown close to Nikita and Tyler.

Molly, who will dance the rumba this weekend, also hinted that their take on the typically romantic dance will be ‘more emotional than sexy’, and pays homage to relationships with loved ones.

Asked about the infamous Strictly curse, Molly told MailOnline: ‘It’s so funny because everyone gets asked ”oh what’s the gossip? Who doesn’t get on” and I say honestly it’s everything they say about the Strictly family, we all get on really well.

‘I do have a dressing roomie, who is Fleur, she’s become like a big sister. I think because she’s done the bottom two a couple of times, we have each other to talk it out and move on together which is nice.’

‘I just think it’s so random, I love how people try to find it when it’s not happening, it is quite funny, I think maybe because we get on so well they mistake for something else but it’s genuinely that everyone is really really good friends.’

When grilled on the prospect of a behind-the-scenes romance, the former Britain’s Got Talent star added: ‘No! We’re a very boring series in that respect!’

After avoiding elimination in the dance-off last week, Molly and Carlos will take to the floor on Saturday with a rumba to All The Man That I Need by Whitney Houston.

Discussing how training has gone for the show, she said: ‘Training is going good, it’s definitely harder than I thought it was going to be the rhumba, I think because it’s slow it’s kind of a sneaky one.’

While the rumba has previously earned the title of being The Dance Of Love, both Molly and Carlos explained their routine will be an ode to emotional relationships over full-on passion.

‘It is a little bit funny, but obviously Carlo has tried to explain to me with dance you have to think about, you’re that character it’s not about Molly and Carlos, so I’m really trying to use my acting experience to get me over that initial awkwardness,’ she said.

‘We’ve kind of taken this one from an angle, it doesn’t have to be about a relationship in that regard, it’s about your relationship with your Mum, your Dad, your parent, your sibling, whoever means a lot to you, a best friend, so we’re trying to take it from that angle.’

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6:55pm on BBC One and iPlayer. Nova Jones is available on BBC iPlayer, and airs Saturdays at 9:05am on BBC Two.
